If, as a Traveller, you cancel your requested booking by lifting a ticket, if the Operator rejects your booking request due to unavailability, it will automatically cancel any prior authorization to your credit card and/or refund any nominal amount charged to your credit card in relation to the requested booking within a commercially reasonable period (10-15 working days). You agree to pay Sunset Hike the deposit for any bookings requested in relation to your Sunset Hike account if such bookings requested are confirmed by the operator. Once your reservation is confirmed and you have received the acknowledgement by email, what you have paid is non-refundable. If the cancellation is made within 31 days prior to departure, 100% of these costs will be forfeited. Cancellation of permits will result in the loss of 100% of costs.
Neither Sunset Hike nor the operators who sell their tours on https://sunsethike.com/offer or pay any discount or refund for lost or unused services that were lost or unused by the traveler due to causes beyond Sunset Hike's control, or the operators who work with "Sunset Hike", which shall include any termination of the traveler's participation in the tour due to their own fault, negligence or breach of these Terms.
All complaints from the traveler about their experience on the tour will be passed on to the tour operator's team for resolution. Sunset Hike is committed to working with tour operators to achieve a high level of service. However, if the tour operator's response time and/or quality of response remain below acceptable time and quality despite us working together to rectify any issues, Sunset Hike reserves the right to remove tour listings from https://sunsethike.com/marketplace operators, affiliate websites, of mobile applications and to remove any applications provided by us.
Unforseen Circumstances, Cancellations and Refunds of Operators
If an operator cancels a confirmed booking made through this website, Sunset Hike will refund any payment for such booking to the relevant traveller within a commercially reasonable time following the cancellation and the traveller may receive an email or other communication from Sunset Hike containing alternative listings and other related information. If the traveler requests a reservation from one of the alternative listings, it will be treated as a new group travel reservation. If an operator cancelled a confirmed booking and you, as a traveller, have not received an email or other communication from Sunset Hike, please contact Sunset Hike.
Cancellation in case of Inclememt Weather
Certain tours may be weather dependent. Notwithstanding the above, in the event of inclement weather, the operator has the discretion to decide whether weather conditions will prevent the tour from taking place. As an operator, if you need to cancel a group tour due to bad weather, you should contact the traveler and Sunset Hike via email as soon as possible. With the traveler's consent, the operator and traveler may choose to reschedule the group tour for another date. If the Group Tour cannot be rescheduled, as a traveler, please contact Sunset Hike for assistance in finding a replacement Group Tour that is not dependent on weather. For clarity, in the event that the alternative Group Tour is of a higher price than the previous one, you may be responsible for any difference in price. In the event that the alternative Group Tour is of lower price, you may be entitled to a partial refund of the difference. As a traveler, if you have contacted Sunset Hike as stated above and Sunset Hike is unable to find you a replacement Group Tour, Sunset Hike may refund payment for such reservation to the traveler within a commercially reasonable timeframe of cancellation.
